Assentra
Contracts · Redlines · Signatures

Draft it. Redline it.
Get it signed.

Assentra is one place for your companies' contracts: a repository you can actually search, a redline editor with Word-style track changes, approvals that hold, and e-signatures that end in a sealed PDF.

  • Outside parties sign from a private link — no account needed
  • Every version hashed, every step in the audit trail
One document, one stage

Every contract knows where it stands.

A tracker across the top of each document shows its stage and the next step. The gates between stages are enforced on the server, not left to good intentions.

  1. DraftWritten internally, from a template, a blank page or an uploaded .docx.
  2. RedlineNegotiated with tracked changes. Every save is a new version.
  3. In approvalNamed approvers sign off. Any one can send it back with a comment.
  4. ApprovedFor this exact version. Edit it and the approval is cancelled.
  5. Out for signatureContent is locked while the envelope is open.
  6. SignedSealed PDF with certificate and full audit trail.
  7. StoredFiled with effective and expiry dates, flagged when it lapses.
The product

Three tools you'd otherwise buy separately.

Repository

Nested folders, status filters and search across titles, parties, counterparties and the words inside every contract — PDFs included.

Import up to 30 executed PDFs at once, labelled honestly as signed outside Assentra.

Editor with redlining

Write or import a contract and edit it on a paper-style page with attributed track changes. Accept or reject one at a time, or all at once.

Compare any two versions with a word-level redline.

Signing with parties

Send to any number of signers and cc's, all at once or in order. They type or draw a signature from a private link, no account needed.

The last signature produces a sealed PDF with certificate.

Signature pages

Signature blocks that read like counsel wrote them.

Save each entity once — legal name, state, type, who manages it and who signs for it. Assentra builds the whole “By:” chain, notice details and signature page every time you send.

  • Entity chains up to three layers deep, loops refused
  • Default signers, optional signers and copies per company
  • [Signature page to follow] closes the contract, so nothing sits between terms and signatures
  • Every page footed with the agreement's name
Approvals

An approval covers one version. Exactly one.

Approvers sign off on clean text, and only an approved version can go out for signature. Change a word afterwards and the document drops back to redline.

  • Required and suggested approvers per company
  • Self-approval only for admins — and recorded as such
  • Approvers see what's waiting for them the moment they sign in
Security & record

Built so the record holds up.

Signatures follow the ESIGN/UETA pattern: consent, attribution, audit trail and a tamper-evident hash.

Two steps, every sign-in

A password plus an authenticator app or texted code, every time. Ten recovery codes, shown once.

Signers verified by text

Add a mobile number and the signer confirms a code before the document even opens. A forwarded link is useless on its own.

Hashes in the certificate

Each version carries the SHA-256 of exactly what signers saw. Time, IP and device are recorded for every signature.

Organizations walled off

Every query runs inside one organization. Reaching data without one throws rather than reading across tenants.

Private signing links

A random 192-bit token per party. The page shows that one envelope and nothing else, and is never indexed.

Signed means locked

From the moment an envelope opens, no edits, versions or restores. Amend by duplicating to a fresh draft.

Many companies, one login

Run every entity from the same seat.

Each company is its own organization with its own team and roles. People keep one Assentra account and switch between the organizations they belong to.

  • Admin, member and viewer roles per organization
  • Party and counterparty on every document, searchable
  • New documents start on the Party you used last

Assentra is invitation-only for now.

Tell us about your companies and the contracts you run, and we'll set up your organization.
